What is an event?
In Yordex an ‘Event’ is a real-world occurrence related to the order. Payments are linked to events and only made when the event is confirmed.
For example, let’s say your payment terms are:
- The payment is made 30 days after the invoice is sent (Net30)
- The invoice is only approved when the buyer confirms they have received the goods
The ‘Event’ would be set up as follows:
- Event name: ‘Goods received’
- Payment name (optional field): ‘Full payment’
- Credit terms: 30 days
- Confirmers: Buyer
Other types of events could be ‘Goods ready for shipping’ or ‘Order approved’ (for deposits). For services, events may be project milestones or project completion.
It is possible to use events with no payment against them in case you just want to track order progress.
